Resistance bands workouts need to be kept simple but also short and very effective. Resistance bands workouts are the best way to not just build some muscle, but also really get a great much needed cardio workout.
Getting in shape isn’t that big of a deal once a person makes up their mind to actually do it. We all live such busy lives, with the job, the kids to chase around, and maybe businesses to run like me, it makes it hard sometimes to find enough time to eat right and exercise. However, I finally have found a simple, but super effective resistance band workout that is easy to follow and use, and it takes 15 to 30 minutes to do, depending on what you personally want to get from the workout.
It all starts with a decision from you. A person has to decide they are going to do it, and they say I will, and not that I will try. There is a huge difference in those two words. Try means you will never get it done, because you have spoke the word and now your subconscious mind takes over and everything under the sun will come up keeping you from getting it done. However, when you speak the words “I Will”, now you are changing the way your brain is working and you will see things start to happen. It is amazing how changing just a few words and speaking them out-loud can change everything about what we want and what we get done.
I will lose weight. I will get in shape. I will workout 3 times per week, no matter what comes up! See how it can be very effective using sentences like these, and especially speaking them out-loud? Make the decision to get in shape and then use self motivating words and sentences like these to get you off the couch and in the best shape of your life.
I chose to take pictures of myself before I started working out, and once I have reached my goals, then I will take more pictures and post here on my blog for you to see the results. I am just as busy as anyone else, but I chose to say “I will” and I chose to stop allowing distractions to pop up all the time, and I chose to stop making excuses why I couldn’t workout and lose weight that I didn’t want to keep carrying around. We all have 24 hours in each day, and for me I simply had to change some things around and get committed to losing weight and working out to get fit. I also had to make the decision to be consistent with taking my vitamins and supplements so that I can live a much longer and healthier life.
Some will, some won’t, so what. For me, I chose to say I will and get it done sooner than later.
Below ares some simple resistance bands workouts that anyone can follow. Oh by the way, my 11 year old granddaughter, soon to be 12 years old is doing some of these workouts using resistance bands as well. I love it!

You can do them from home, from your work office, in a motel room, on vacation, in your garage, or anywhere else you can think of. NOTICE: You can use the door strap and hook your resistance bands right to any door and get a whole different set of workouts as well. Let me also give you my favorite resistance bands to purchase and use. The name of them is: “Fitness Gear” and they can be purchased at Dicks Sporting Goods and many other stores that sell fitness gear, like weights, dumbbells, home workout equipment, etc. I highly recommend staying away from the stuff at Walmart like…Perfect Bands. These broke and almost hurt my wife when they hit her in the head while working out. They are cheaper than the good ones at Dicks Sporting Goods Store, but from experience the “Fitness Gear” are the best resistance bands on the market, and they aren’t that much higher than the cheap stuff at Walmart that can and will break and hurt you. Cheap isn’t always the best!
My wife and I are losing weight and getting ourselves in the best shape of our lives, and we are doing it at the ages of 51 and 54…lol. There are no excuses anymore for us! We have made the decision to be healthy and fit, take our vitamins and supplements, be better examples for those around us, our family’s, friends, etc, and to live much healthier happier lives than ever before. So no, it is never to late to get started…no matter what your current age, situation, or weight. Get in the mind set of I will, and it’s my time to have my breakthrough.
For us, weight loss and fitness is a big deal, and in my opinion it should be for everyone. We only have one body, so why not take good care of it? Being overweight is hard on the body, and especially hard on our vital organs, so why not do our part and do some simple little things to take better care of our body and health.
Get yourself some resistance bands so that you can start doing resistance bands workouts right away. You will be amazed at how easy and fun this can be, but on the flip side, it is more effective than anything else you’ve probably ever done. MAKE SURE you only buy quality resistance bands though, like the “Fitness Gear” brand that I have recommended.
