Mobile Milling – Portable Sawmill, simply means, we can bring our sawmill to your property and mill your trees/logs into usable lumber.

Some requirements needed before we come to your place, listed below.

• Agreement on the number and quantity of your logs.
• Agreement on the price we charge.
• Will there be a machine on site to get logs to our mill?
• Will there be help on site to make our process quicker, and your price cheaper.
• Will there be a trailer to stack lumber on, or place it on the ground next to mill?
• Is there a nice level spot to set up and level our mill properly?
• Are your logs free of nails, wire and dirt/(dried mud)? If not, they must be power washed before milling to save blades and additional expense to you.

With our unique drag back system, with help, each cut the lumber is drug back to the rear of mill and can be off loaded at rear of our mill, right onto a trailer or stacked nearby.

The advantage of us coming to you are, you can take the lumber right off the mill and stack and sticker it the way you want. This way you don’t have to move it from our place to yours later. However, it does cost more for us to come to you. It takes time to pack up the mill and move it somewhere else, and with fuel cost, plus additional insurance we are required to carry, it drives the cost up.

Advantages of bringing your logs to us are small. The cost to you is much less, because we have all the equipment needed to handle the logs, and we don’t have to pack up the mill and take it somewhere else. We also don’t have to carry additional insurance, and set up and take the time to level it and get it ready to cut on someone else’s property.

Time is money, and unfortunately we don’t work for free, and shouldn’t be expected to. Now, I will cut my hourly cost a great deal if you have a large amount of logs to mill. This applies to us coming to you, or you bringing your logs to us.

No worries, because I have large equipment trailers and for additional cost I can come get your logs, bring them to our farm, mill them and bring the lumber back to you.
