Today has been cleaning out the planter, oiling chains, and getting planter ready for winter storage.
I always clean out the seed boxes and remove them to store inside my shop. This keeps them nice and protected from bad weather and sun. I also like to use ATF fluid and oil up all the chains for the winter months ahead. The ATF fluid seems to work best of all oils I’ve used to help protect chains and keep them from getting seized up, while the planter is not in use.

Now that all of these steps are finished, then I will put a cover over the planter to better protect it from the sun, rain and following winter months and possible snows. These are all simple things, but in my opinion, it’s important to do and to keep my equipment working it’s best for the long term uses. End of season and winter storage tips to ensure much longer life from my investments.

Take care of your stuff and it will last! 🤩
Always do your best,
