After today’s haul, now I have more black walnut to mill. Tomorrow morning it will be time to fire up the TimberKing 2220 and get these black walnut logs milled into lumber and mantles.
Black Walnut Mantles
Everyone’s favorite, including mine is black walnut mantles. These are heavy and often times a challenge to hang, but there is nothing more beautiful than a nice chunk of black walnut.
What Is The Cost Of Black Walnut Mantles?
It always depends on the grade of the black walnut, and the current market price. I will say this about the current market price. So many people are thinking they can get upwards of $10 per board foot (pbf). And maybe they can, but I always see their same post over and over, which makes me think they are not selling it at those ridiculous prices.
I don’t believe in taking advantage of folks. And to me, $10 pbf is taking advantage of people. Many of the black walnut mantles I’m selling will be anywhere from $4pbf up to $6pbf depending on the quality and grade of the walnut piece. If you want good deals, then call me asap! I will never take advantage of others…never!! You will never get ahead in life by taking advantage of others. You get ahead by serving, helping people get what they want at fair rates. You get ahead by being genuine and honest.
Setting A High Standard!
Life is too short to be dishonest, or to try and cheat everyone that you do business with. I’d much rather set the bar higher for my family and being a giver, and being a person of high integrity. The generations coming behind us are watching what we do. So how about being that good role model and passing that on, instead of what most of the world is passing on nowadays. Setting a high standard to me is so important!
