This post is to share the TimberKing 6000 set up and operating in Pennsylvania…for a friend. The TimberKing 6000 is a massive slab mill that can handle up to a 60” across log.
In the video and pictures below you can not just see this massive sawmill on the trailer, before assembly, but also once we assembled it, had everything set up and loaded a log to mill into valuable lumber for Sam to use at his property.
This is the largest sawmill in the TimberKing lineup. The TK6000 is hydraulic up and down head and hydraulic forward and reverse for the feed. This particular sawmill has the Setworks computer which really helps sped up the cutting, but also makes for much more accurate cuts.
It’s so nice having the kind of help at had with Sam, his brother and their great helper friend. Putting this mill together is definitely a job, which takes time and work, but in the end, it’s always nice to be able to fire it up, load a nice big log and mill that log into lumber that can be used for building projects.
