This week I’ve been building more LubeKing Systems for TimberKing sawmills. These automated systems save you time and money.
How Does LubeKing Save Time and Money?
This LubeKing system save you time, simply because you are not having to walk back and forth hundreds of times throughout the day to turn water valves on and then go back and shut them off. It saves you money because of the cheap plastic valves that come on the water/lube tanks of TimberKing sawmills. These cheap plastic valves leak, they break and you constantly have to replace them. When they leak you are dumping your blade lube out on the sawmill and ground. If you are using diesel fuel for blade lube, then that gets expensive quick, because around here, diesel is over $5.00 per gallon…

And yes, diesel fuel is an incredibly good blade lube, despite what TimberKing folks may tell you. Here’s the deal, they build and sell them, but they don’t saw everyday, like many of us do, so they really don’t know what works best. Here’s another one that works just as good as diesel fuel, that TimberKing probably hasn’t heard of, or if they have, probably won’t like it for some unknown reason…lol. But there again, they build and sell them, and don’t run them! That special blade lube that I absolutely love is; Cotton Picker Spindle Cleaner. This is oil based and water soluble. The best part is how cheap it is. Due to how little it takes per tank, due to how concentrated it is, a gallon jug will last you a long time!

How is LubeKing Automated for TimberKing Sawmills?
This complete system I’m building is a direct bolt on to your TimberKing sawmill, and it wires direct to your blade clutch, which means, when you flip the blade switch on, the water or blade lube of your choice comes on automatically, when you turn the switch off, the system shuts off. The blade wiper block bolts direct to your adjustable blade guide roller shield. However, you will have to drill a 3/8 hole for this to mount. This is the only hole you have to drill.
What Other Additions Are In The Works for TimberKing Sawmills?
I’m currently building and testing blade guide plates that will mount under the blade to keep it from dropping/diving down during cuts. The TimberKing is know for blade diving and this will reduce, if not eliminate the blade dive/dropping during cuts. For example; Woodmizer LT70 has all of this on their sawmills right from the factory. It’s already on, proven to work and no more additions are needed, which should be on all mills!

The WoodMizer LubeMizer system is a blade lube system that has a pump instead of gravity feed, which forces lube to your blade and makes for much better lubrication. They also took it one step further by adding the blocks under the blade to eliminate the blade drop/the diving during cuts. See the pictures below…

There is no question that TimberKing sawmills are built like tanks, and incredible support and warranty, and let’s not forget…built in the USA. If you watched any TimberKing videos, that’s definitely mentioned in every single video…lol. Having said this, just a few more very important additions, like the LubeKing system I build, the blade blocks I’m working on and a few other things that I’ve done to my mill, the TimberKing could be a high production sawmill, like the WoodMizer LT70 is.
If you have a TimberKing sawmill, then call or message me and refer to this blog post for a discount on my best LubeKing package. I really do like TimberKing and I’m trying to make these mills work better than they do from manufacture. TimberKing will NOT make these changes, and you cannot get these much needed add ons from TimberKing, but you can get them from me.
Always do your best,
