There are just times when you need the TimberKing 6000 for the Big Logs. This TK6000 will handle those logs that are too large for regular sized sawmills. This sawmill will be set up soon, and you will be able to see it in action and hear the sounds of the smooth, efficient Kubota diesel engine.

First things first though. This beast will need some much needed add ons that TimberKing doesn’t offer. The first being, an automated blade lube system, with blade wiper and guide blocks. The next is brass bung and stainless steel shut off valve added to the water/blade lube tank and get rid of the cheap plastic valves that come standard with all TimberKing mills.

Maybe you are a TimberKing sawmill owner and needing to make some upgrades, like mentioned here? Well, you’ve landed on the right page and the right website. I started designing things to improve performance and efficiency of my TimberKing 2220 sawmill, that I couldn’t get from the manufacturer, and let me tell you, these changes…much needed upgrades took my 2220 to whole new level.

Not only did these changes make sawing logs to lumber easier and better, but my lumber was much flatter, and I was finally able to run faster and cut flatter. Yes, I said run faster and cut flatter lumber! Many folks thinks you have to mill slow, and don’t get me wrong, some have to because they are horsepower limited. On the flip side, if you have the horsepower but cannot mill faster, then it’s because you are to stubborn and stuck in your limited mindset ways, or you sawmill isn’t dialed in properly.
If you are the one that thinks milling slow is the only way to produce flat lumber, then so be it. But, if you have the horsepower to mill faster, and still produce flat lumber, often times flatter lumber going faster than slower, then I’m sure I have the parts and the ideas to help you do so.
I will post videos of this TimberKing 6000 once it’s all set up and running, and show it in action. This TK6000 definitely has a place in the log yard, and that’s for taking the big logs, up to 60” across and turning them into large cants, or even large slabs for tables, counter tops and more. Some folks take the big logs to the 6000, then get cants down to sizes their portable hydraulic mills will handle to turn into lumber much faster. The 6000 can take logs clear down to 2×4’s, 2×6’s, or into large wide planks, but it takes longer due to the lack of hydraulics to move and turn the logs.
Call me if you need help with your TimberKing sawmill.
Always do your best,
