Just like everything else, beef prices are high. My custom paint prices have over doubled, and many have close to tripled in price, since the pandemic, and our change in the white house.
So called professionals have said that gas and fuel prices have only went up 2%, but obviously they didn’t take math class in school, or they are part of the dishonest group we have in office.
Since 2020 when diesel was $1.88 to $2.00 per gallon, and now it’s $3.95 to $4.20’s…that’s way more than 2%!!
Either way, I’m just taking the high road and letting God fight my battles. There are so many things out of our hands, and like it or not, that’s just the way it is. So for us, we are growing our own beef, we have our own chicken eggs and we have very large gardens.
Even though beef prices are high, we have beef on the horizon. Our calves are growing like crazy, and honestly, I’m tired of pouring the feed to them, so by January, we will have our freezers full.
If you have the space and a little extra time on your hands, I highly recommend doing some gardening yourself. Green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and sweet corn. Can a bunch of this for down the road. It will save you a great deal of money, especially compared to all the inflated prices we are seeing.
